INSTRUCTIONS

Take a large bowl and wooden spoon and mix flour and salt.

step-1

Add water gradually and keep stirring.

step-2

Mix all the ingredients; use your hands to bring the dough together.

step-3

When the dough is too wet and sticky, add more flour gradually, one tablespoon at a time.

step-4

If it’s too hard, add a little water (about one tablespoon at a time).

step-5

If it’s too hard, add a little water (about one tablespoon at a time).

Knead the dough for a few minutes until it’s soft and smooth.

Place the parchment paper on your work pace and roll out the dough to about ¼ -½ inches thick.

Don’t roll the dough very thin to avoid bubbles-air while baking.

When the dough is ready, you can create hand prints, flowers, animals, etc. Anything that you want.

Once you are ready, preheat the oven to 250 degrees F.

Bake for 2-3 hours, checking it at every 20 minutes interval until just firm to touch.

Remove from oven and let it cool.

Now you can paint it, and if you want, seal it with Mod Podge once it gets dry.

NOTE:

  • Different types of flour can take different amounts of liquid. It means the amount of liquid you need for a recipe can vary depending on the type of flour you use.
  • If your craft still feels soft, you must bake for extra time. It needs to be firm to touch.

Grab flour, salt, and water, and let your creativity run wild! Salt dough is an excellent option for kids and adults to make their crafts and can be a fun way to spend time together.

Create something unique that your family will treasure for years!

Happy Crafting!
