- Pearl white balloons ( I bought 2 back from a dollar store)
- Plastic table cover (I took yellow and pink color)
- A long ribbon
- Tape
Step-by-Step Directions
Step 1. First, you’ll want to pick the size of your backdrop. Depending on how big or small your space is, you can adjust the size to fit your needs. If you need help determining what size to make your backdrop, use a measuring tape to measure the wall space or area where you plan to hang the backdrop.
Step 2. Take the plastic table cover in 2 colors of your choice and cut each into six equal pieces.
Step 3. Open the ribbon and tape it to the long table on each end.
Step 4. Now open the strips, hold them from the center, and tie it to the ribbon. I tied both colors alternatively.

Step 5. When the stripes are all done, stick them onto your wall with the help of the tape.
Step 6. Take the balloons pack and blow them in 2 different sizes.
Tie them together with the help of the thread and make a balloon garland.

Step 7. Once the balloon’s garland is complete, stick it on the wall above the strip’s background.

What You’ll Need to Make the Unicorn Birthday Backdrop
- Unicorn backdrop printable (download for FREE at the end of this post)
- Colored Card sheet 1 ( full size)
- Colored cardstock A4 size (pink, yellow, aqua green)
- Glitter cardstock (optional)
- Glue
- Scissors
- Thread
- Tape
- Hole punch
Step-by-Step Directions
Step 1. Start with the rainbow first. Download the template and print it.
Step 2. There are ten pages for the rainbow pattern. Keep joining the rainbow like a puzzle. Check the images for a more clear guide.
Step 3. The rainbow’s final size is approximately 14 inches by 26 inches.
Step 4. Print out the rest of the backdrop file for the unicorn, cut out the cloud from it, and glue it with the rainbow.
Step 5. Now, glue the rainbow on the big yellow card sheet, and cut it out again, leaving a yellow outline.
Step 6. Once the rainbow is ready, keep it aside and cut out the unicorn, and fix the flower bunch.
Step 7. Now take the cut unicorn and flower bunch and glue it on the pink cardstock.
Step 8. Again cut it out, leaving a pink outline.
Step 9. Attach the rainbow, unicorn, and birthday numbers altogether.
Step 10. Make two holes with the hole punch hidden under the letters H and Y. Take a thread and hang it on the wall using tape.
Add finishing touches, such as twinkle lights, balloons, or streamers, to create a fun and festive atmosphere.
